Early Years Foundation Stage
Early Years Foundation Stage, setting the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five. Hippitots Children’s World follows the government based framework called Early Years Foundation Stage.

As stated in the EYFS document, 'Every child deserves the best possible start to life and support to fulfill their potential. A child's experience in the early years has a major impact on their future life chances'.

Practitioners aim to support each child individually to make progress at their own pace and children who need extra support to fulfill their potential will receive special consideration. The EYFS principles, which guide the work of our practitioners, are grouped into four distinct but complementary themes.

Hippitots supports the 4 principles of the EYFS. They are:

A Unique Child - Every child is a competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
Positive Relationships - Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and/or a key person.
Enabling Environments - The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children's development and learning.
Learning and Development - Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates and all areas of Learning and Development are equally important and inter-connected.
